The approach
Corneal follow-up is essentially about tracking change over time: comparative topographies show whether an ectasia is stable or progressing, and that reading guides the treatment plan.
When surgery is indicated, the preference is always for the technique that preserves the greatest amount of the patient's healthy tissue.
Keratoconus
Early diagnosis through topography and tomography, with follow-up to identify progression.
Crosslinking
A procedure to stabilize the cornea in documented cases of progression.
Intrastromal rings

Does keratoconus always require a transplant?
No. Most cases are managed with follow-up and optical correction and, when there is progression, stabilization procedures.
